'jsut code' is an award-winning interactive art installation, shown in 2012 in the exhibition ‘Future Everybody’ as part of the FutureEverything Conference at the Museum of Science
and Industry in Manchester (United Kingdom). In 'jsut code' texts are gathered from the social media site ‘Twitter’ and displayed in real-time as a Quick Response (QR) image. To read the live and archive texts the audience decode images with their mobile device.

This paper aims to outline the performative aspect of 'jsut code' including the network circulation, collective online data, source code with Application Programming Interface, encoded QR code display and audience participation. Through coding practice, 'jsut code' reveals the politics of network circulation through the relational matters of negotiating gateway, the Application Programming Interface, which communicates between 'jsut code'
and the public site Twitter.
