Parts and Labour (Osan)

An experimental curatorial project investigating artistic labour and authorship through instruction-based artworks (which are constructed/ performed/ enacted in situ by volunteers) by European, US and Korean artists, including Adrian Piper, Richard Wentworth and Marc Camille Chaimowicz. Co-curated by John Chilver, Brighid Lowe and Honggyun Mok.
Contributing artists were invited to provide instructions for works to be made in no more than 2 person/hours labour time. As a further uniform constraint, all works had to be realised using only those materials (the 'kit of parts') specified in advance by the curators.
