The Trilogy was purchased for Rugby Art Gallery and Museum through the Contemporary Art Society’s Acquisiiton Scheme for 2008-2009.

The Trilogy is a work for three screens, two monitors and one projected work installed within a black cloth structure. Seers has made a special adaptation of the work for Rugby Art Gallery which will be shown for the first time as part of the collection in March 2011.

Seers’ highly personal narratives combine concepts of science, philosophy and photographic theory. It is her ongoing investigation into how cinematic and photographic technologies shape us that drew the curators at Rugby to purchase this work with the Contemporary Art Society along with support from the V&A Purchase Fund. This is a major addition to the collection and will assist Rugby to evolve their focus on photography and the work of artists who use digital media.
