The Superorganism
The Superorganism
Group exhibition.
The exhibitions seeks to inquire artistic practices that explores object and space in various ways. The space where the tactile aspect and the possibility to become aware of ones own body exists. The object on the other hand defines the individual by mirroring humanity both physical and emotional. The different works in the exhibition can be seen as fragments that question what it means to be alive today and oscillates between the soft body, the machine made, societies and language. What objects do we find interesting in a time where the border between man and machine is erased? Is the object a tool, a decoration, fetish or maybe all three? Artistic practices loosely bound together, with an interest in materiality in common, we curators see this exhibition as a draft, a sketch, snapshot of a much larger whole.
Curated by Josefina Posch and Alexandra Nyman.
