The live performance work DOUG, originally commissioned by The Common Guild at Mitchell Library, Glasgow, was nominated for Turner Prize 2015. This was the first live performance to be nominated for the prize.
Doug was performed daily in the gallery for the duration of the fourth-month exhibition. Working in association with Scottish Opera, a shifting ensemble of 18 singers performed the work in both part and whole on a weekly schedule, allowing the work to be experienced in multiple ways .
The exhibition consisted of daily live performances and two accompanying print works: 'Doug Lyric Sheet' (silkscreen on paper); and
Score: Blast (9 silkscreen prints on paper)
