Exhibition resulting from residency in a shopping centre. Works include a video with voiceover which weaves mythical, poetic narrative around an action-camera walk around the mall; alongside hand painted signs which quote slogans from high street fashion; a playable ‘Mallopoly’ game which the viewer can take away to enact subversive exercises in the mall; and a grime style audio piece written by the artist and recorded by rapper Maxsta. Project was accompanied by performance tours of the shopping centre and a subversive sign writing workshop in collaboration with traditional boat sign painter.
