[Show/Exhibition]
A performance work that staged a series of silent conversations in various public sites in Belfast (2010) and Helsinki (2008). Drawing on Brecht's proposition in 'Conversations in Exile' that it is possible to be silent in more than one language, this piece sought to stage experiences of this form of exchange, and withdraw from the demand to communicate, exchange, produce dialogue etc., so prevalent in contemporary forms of social and collaborative art practice.
