Re/Locating Cultures of Equality

Re/Locating Cultures of Equality is one of the major collective outputs from the GlobalGRACE project – www.globalgrace.net. Curated by Siobhan McGuirk, this collaboratively produced virtual exhibition discloses key insights and invites engagement and reflection. Traditional research is focused on findings; seeks to be conclusive. Creating cultures of equality prioritises praxis and process. It is necessarily experiential; both playful and profound. The exhibition is divided into three areas: Installations created specifically for online interaction but remain grounded in site-specific methods and modes; Films that explore varied themes and multiple artforms through a single, unifying medium; and Postcards that reveal connecting threads between collaborators and trace transformations of material culture (and interpersonal communication) through digitisation and display.
