[Conference or Workshop Item]
Drawing on my doctoral research exploring everyday religious material practices with a particular focus on food, this paper reflects on how my photographic practice as research practice and its diverse outcomes produced different modes of community and public engagement. It also discusses the processes of exchange and legitimisation of my photographic practice within these communities; as well as the tensions between the artistic, academic and community interests/expectations at play in the production of visual arts artefacts for social research.
