The Collector's Room

This exhibition was curated by Karen David, artist and Lecturer at Glasgow School of Art. The exhibition formed part of David's PhD facilitated by the University of Worcester. The doctorate was successfully completed and awarded in October 2023.

The premise of the exhibition was to reflect the personal collection of a fictitious female art collector, who had a particular interest in esoteric belief systems, occult practice and magic in general.

The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue, published by JGM Gallery, London.

The installation of the exhibition coincided with governmental guidelines and restrictions caused by the global pandemic, and consequently, remained in the gallery for four months of disrupted access for visitors.
