Originality: This paper is the first to identify the energy inefficiency in a widely used reactive protocol in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, and provides a new algorithmic solution to solve the problem. Rigour: The paper offers the solution and shows analysis on energy saving in mathematical expressions and in diagrams. The paper was reviewed by three anonymous international reviewers. Significance: The algorithms provided in the paper can be implemented directly in Ad Hoc Network design and applied in industrial products. |
