At first glance, the link between these three books is the form of the word feminism in their titles. In signalling a legacy of associations ranging from political concept, to social movement, to aesthetic category, each work highlights how feminist-led scholarship in theater, drama, and performance operates to disturb canonicity. Their project is to recalibrate critical disregard for women's contributions to the field and thereby display the ways in which this (re)shapes theater historiographies.
