Performing Dramaturgy

Performing Dramaturgy analyses the expanded role and methodologies of the dramaturge in performance development and is the first comprehensive guide to New Zealand dramaturgy. This project supports the book publication by bringing together a series of dramaturgical practice research case studies in new writing, verbatim theatre, dance, community theatre and site specific performance. It also includes a book chapter on the ethics of the dramaturge in performance development and a joint article with Carol Brown from the Contemporary Theatre Review about interdisciplinary dramaturgical collaboration.
