Goldsmiths Open Access LibGuide
Open Access (OA) is the system for making research outputs freely available online to be read, downloaded, distributed and re-used without infringing copyright and licensing restrictions. It has two components: 1) the technical ability to make publications available digitally to anyone with an internet connection; and 2) legal permission to share individual publications.
This LibGuide, created by the Online Research Collections team at Goldsmiths, provides information on: what Open Access is, Open Access routes, copyright and licensing, Goldsmiths' institutional repositories, funder Open Access policies (including the Research Excellence Framework and Plan S), choosing a journal to publish in, publisher Open Access deals available to Goldsmiths researchers, Open Access resources, and includes a glossary.
