My Naturewatch Camera
My Naturewatch Camera is a camera that people can make themselves to take pictures automatically of the animals in their neighbourhoods. It uses computer vision to spot movement, and is designed to be easy to use and make, and to produce aesthetically engaging images.
Thousands of people have made My Naturewatch Cameras after seeing them on BBC Springwatch or encountering them at nature reserves, museums or schools. This book celebrates some of the beautiful images they have captured of birds and animals in the UK and around the world.
As well as an extensive gallery of images, a series of appendices describes the research project that gave rise to My Naturewatch Camera. With a richly illustrated account of the process, and reflections from team members and the Series Producer of SpringWatch, it gives intimate access to this landmark design research project
