Keeping it Rhyl: Punk-Plan
Keeping it Rhyl is the inaugural album to celebrate the (future) opening of the worlds longest (speculative) pier. The album containing twelve tracks made by local Rhylian musicians and celebrates the musical culture that has emerged and remains strong against all odds.
The pier will be the home to Rhyl’s new University of Music and Media. The pier represents a hopeful, possible future for Rhyl and was initially conceived by Neil Crud of Spam Javelin in response to Rhyl’s current social and economic circumstances.
The tracks on this album have been generously donated to Keeping it Rhyl. Each of the artists on the album has been invited to become a Professor, in their own department, on the University on the pier.
This album was produced and conceived by Jimmy Loizeau and Matt Ward as part of The Illegal Town Plan.
