O’clock. Time Design, Design Time, was an exhibition presented at Cafe Art Center, Beijing, China. It travelled to Beijing after being exhibited at Milan’s Triennale Museum.
The exhibition explored the relationship between time and design through showcasing 68 works from international artists and designers, in three key sections: measurement of time, time-traversing objects and the experience of time. Work included installations, products, art pieces, site-specific works and videos.
Quins work for this show includes two design objects: Grandmother Clock and Timekeepers. Both objects measure the passing of time by using thread, physicalising how time accumulates - a sight that is usually invisible.
