This talk was given by Matthew Yee-King and Mark d'Inverno at the Barcelona Music Lab launch event in December 2024. The talk discusses current trends in AI/ music technology, then presents live demonstrations of three music improvisation systems which increase in complexity up to a state of the art musical transformer network. The audience were able to participate in the talk by answering polls and submitting opinions at various points.
