Overworked

Completed tapestries, worked from kits using pre-printed canvas, are re-covered so that the underlying images are obscured. Further labour is invested in the piece, whilst simultaneously concealing a proportion of the original work (labour).

This work was first shown as part of an exhibition curated by a collaborative practice-based group, who developed ideas through informal meetings, email and Whatsapp chat. The first public outcome was DOMESTIC MONSTERS at the Constance Howard Gallery (April - May 2022).
