Portfolio of compositions

The present text comments on five musical pieces for a variety of instrumental forces ranging from solo to large ensemble, composed between 2010 and 2011. The original creative approach described here is one based on structural procedures that define separately aspects of the musical material. These procedures seek to generate textural surfaces emerging from the superposition and confrontation of structures in different layers. Theoretical and poetic references include Saussure, Frege, Nattiez, Richter, and Cioran, among others.
