Future//Past: a series of interventions into The Greatest Hits of The Spice Girls.
[Composition]
This work forms part of an ongoing investigation into the text or performance score. Specifically I am interested in their empowering potential to destabilise authorship, temporality and originality from a feminist perspective.
Responding to notions of fandom within feminism, and the politics of ownership and accessibility of the term feminism itself - this work, a single sentence instruction, has been used to generate a series of text, sonic and video installations into the existing recorded catalogue of a 90s girl band.
